Candy Cooper

Candy Messinger Cooper, age 47, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born in Corry on August 24, 1973, a daughter of Bonnie L.  Messinger of Ashtabula, OH and the late Ray I. Messinger (2014).

Candy was raised in the Clymer Area; following high school, she worked at several local businesses, most recently at Corry Micronics until she became ill.

In her free time, Candy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed playing pool with her longtime friends; and collecting anything related to wolves.

In addition to her mom, Candy is survived by her best friend and soul mate, Jim Bishop;  her children,  Diana (Ryan) Cooper and Lucas (Jessica) Cooper, both of Ashtabula, OH; and siblings, Cheri Stuper, Kevin (Claudette) Stuper and Ray(Heather) Messinger, all of Ashtabula; and Kim(Dave)  Sterling of Corry, PA.  She is further survived by her grandchildren, James, Blake, Dominic and Jayleen of Ashtabula, OH and Owen, of Busti, NY; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Private funeral arrangements were entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Downtown, 602 W. 10^th St., Erie Pa 16502.
