Donald Yusz

Donald Yusz, age 48, of Erie, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017 at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh following a brief illness.

He was born in Erie, PA on December 4, 1968, a son of the late Daniel Yusz and Jean M. Moran Yusz Duncombe.

Don was a Class of 1987 graduate of Academy High School.  A businessman, he had worked for Citizens Bank for over 15 years and most recently was the Vice President Business Development Officer with the First National Bank. 

Don had a kind and gentle heart and always put others before himself. He was a lover of life who always put his family first. They spent many happy hours at Kiawah Island, SC and Walt Disney World. Don was an active member in the community with his service to Junior Achievement, United Way and many other organizations. An avid sports fan, his favorite teams were the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins.

He also enjoyed playing tennis, running and golfing. In short, a hard-working businessman, a devoted husband and a loving father would be the best way to describe Don.

He was preceded in death by his father Russell Duncombe.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Lori DelPorto Yusz, a daughter, Tatum L. Yusz, three sisters, Diana Stansell and her husband Stanley of SC, Denise Gibson and her husband Max of Erie and Dorothe Hubbert and her husband John of FL and two brothers, Daniel P. Yusz and his wife Pamela of TX and David Yusz and his wife Lynn of Erie.  Many nieces and nephews further survive.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26^th Street, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 5 until the Celebration of his life and time of sharing there at 7 p.m.
