Everett Eddy

Everett James Eddy, age 74, of Erie, passed away at his residence, Saturday, January 9^th, 2021.

He was born in Erie on December 1, 1946, a son to the late Clarnell D. Hambriek Eddy, of North Brunswick, NJ, and the late Robert B. (Babe) Eddy.

Everett graduated from East High School and continued a professional career in Tae Kwon Do and was known as “Monster Man Eddy”. He was employed at EMTA for many years. Everett was the former owner and operator for Eddy’s Rib Shack and Big Daddy’s Night Club. He enjoyed reading, along with his hobbies of roller-skating and car detailing. Everett was his own witness to Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior.

He is smiling and blessed as his goodness and grace join a warm embrace with his late son, Rodney L. Eddy; two sisters, Pastor Z Speed and Clarice Eddy; and one brother, David Eddy.

Everett’s love, his wish and his first thought every day, was his wife, Brenda, of 52 years, proving his nurturing care and kindness of heart. He is further survived by a son, Everett L Eddy, Jr. (Lavette), of Erie; two brothers, Robert B. Eddy, Jr. and Arthur Eddy; sister-in-law, Cheryl, of Detroit; the enjoyment of his 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 2 god-daughters, Samone Norton and Nea Hamilton, brought out laughter of love the whole world could hear. He was a man that danced to the beat of his own drum and lived life on his own terms. Everett was truly loved and honored many titles in our family. His wife, son, family and friends love him beyond words and will miss him beyond measure.
