James Francis Vargo died Saturday, January 9, 2021, due to complications of life. He was born January 2, 1940, in Pittsburgh, PA, to Margaret Vargo. Jim was raised by his Grandmother, Mary Jantek Vargo, and his Aunt, Therese C. Vargo.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Ann Fickenworth Vargo, who died December 17, 2003; his twin son & daughter, Michael and Michele Vargo, who died at birth on February 18, 1967; and step daughter Nancy Gartner-Brewer, who died March 13, 2009.
Jim is survived by his wife, Dianne M. Gartner-Vargo, his four children, James Alan Vargo (Colleen Finn), Lisa Ann Vargo Moody (James), Jeffrey M. Vargo (Monica Sivillo), and Christopher David Vargo (Christy Walker), six grandchildren: Brandon, Caleb, Jackson, Julia, Luke and Ryan Vargo He is further survived by his brothers, Albert DiLuzio (Mary Ann) and Carl DiLuzio, and step-children: William Gartner Jr. and Susan Ferraro. Jim was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
