Marjorie Montgomery

Marjorie Jean Montgomery, age 96, of Millcreek, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Fairview Manor.

She was born in Oil City, on October 2, 1921, the daughter of the late George F. and Katherine Healy Ronan.

Jean graduated from Oil City High School and served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. In her younger years she was employed by the Oil Well Supply Company and Waldameer Park. Jean’s life was spent as a homemaker, caring for her husband and family. She loved cats and playing bingo, was an avid reader and also enjoyed needlepoint and crossword puzzles.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Philip Montgomery.

She is survived by her three children, Philip Montgomery, Gail Montgomery and Keith Montgomery and his wife Patricia; two granddaughters Nicole Emerick and her husband Brian and Adelle Lehman and her husband Stephan and two great grandson Cole and Kyle Emerick.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26^th Street, (at Powell Ave.) today Sunday, June 17 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at 1:30 p.m.

Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
