Whispering Pines Cremation Garden
The first cremation garden in northwest Pennsylvania
Reflecting the serenity of neighboring Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery, Whispering Pines' landscape includes a pond with a gentle fountain spray in the center, mature trees, a small stream and lovely gardens.
Cremation is simply a choice that reflects the preference of the deceased and family. For some people, cremation is a family burial tradition. For others it is a way in which they ensure their return to earth.
Remembering your loves ones
Whispering Pines is a lovely place of remembrance where loved ones can visit. Garden walkways wind through beautiful natural settings designed for placement of cremated remains. Many of the strong, tall trees throughout the garden have distinctive memorial markers encircling their bases.
More places of rest include quiet granite niches, an ossuary memorial wall, and even special memorial stones crafted to hold the cremated remains of two people.
Whispering Pines is owned and managed by Burton Funeral Homes, so you are assured of the highest level of service and grounds maintenance.

Everyone we came in contact went above and beyond the call of duty. Kind, compassionate, understanding, there are not enough adjectives to describe how we were treated.
Thanks to all!

To the Burton Westlake Funeral Home Family
Thank you for doing that annual service of remembrance. That was beautifully done. The piano playing, the singer, Fr. Mike reading scripture and to end with the names and tree lighting...my heart was filled with joy that evening...Thank you again for all your service.

Over the past year, you have been a tremendous help to me as I tried to move the through two very sudden and grief filled situations and deaths. My sister’s funeral went very well. She is home and laid to rest next to our parents. It was a very small, quiet service that let us bury her in a manner that let us grieve and honor her. Your help in coordinating two out of town funerals was immensely appreciated. I could not have done it without your expert help.
Your quiet understanding and very capable nature made these difficult situations more bearable.
Enjoy the summer!
Thank you for the beautiful card and words on the anniversary of Dad’s passing.

I was hoping as time passed, I would find the right words to give you an appropriate thank you, but the only thing time has done is reinforce that it is okay that I cannot find an adequate way to verbalize my gratitude. Thank you so much for everything you and your staff have done to aide us at this time.

I couldn't have asked for a more dedicated, caring person to assist in our time of sorrow. I need to thank you for everything, honestly without you and your kind heart I'm not sure that it would have been possible, so THANK YOU!
