Karen Burton Horstman and Peter J. Burton represent the fifth generation in the family firm — carrying forward the quality of service and heartfelt compassion that Burton’s is recognized for today.

Burton Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc. is working diligently within Federal and State guidelines to continue to provide the utmost care while respecting the health concerns now facing the community.  We would like to assure every family that we will continue to respond immediately when our services are needed, and are committed to providing every family with the professional and personal care they have come to expect.

As we are an essential business, we will continue to be open and have a staff member available to answer your questions by phone any time.  However, with the current order from our governor to shelter in place, we have implemented additional protocol to keep you and our staff safe.  In doing so, we have limited staff on hand and are alternating staff presence at affiliated locations.   Please call before coming directly to one of our affiliated locations.

We ask that anyone feeling ill, anyone who has recently traveled internationally or through COVID-19 infected areas in the US refrain from entering our facilities.

While public gatherings are not permitted at the moment, rest assured that small private viewings, services, burials and cremations will still be carried out.  In an effort to ensure that every family receives the comfort and support of others that is essential when a death occurs, we are in the process of designing a variety of technological solutions for individuals who are not able to be present.  We will also offer the use of our facilities for a memorial service and/or gathering at a date and time when it is once again safe to do so.

On-line condolences can be made at www.Burtonfuneralhomes.com on the individual’s obituary page.  As we must all practice ‘physical distancing’ we all need to be more ‘social’ or more aware of what each of us is going through and reach out to each other and grieving families in particular.

We will continue to make timely decisions based on guidance from health agencies, and adjust our precautionary measures as necessary.

Our compassion is with our families as we try to safely guide them through this most difficult time.

Burton Funeral Homes is an essential business and will remain OPEN. Just call first.
